Spending time with my favourite aunt knitting together. It’s her 86. Birthday today. As a young girl I spent as many vacations with her as I could. Sometimes knitting every waking moment. She is knitting a pair of baby booties I learned to make from her. My heart is full!
Today mini-me is heading to London for an overnight stay with a TGV train. We are very excited.
Every time I use Maori/Bergschaf batt for needlefelting, my heart sings! It felts so easily and fast. With glorious colours and a rustic texture.
Teaching information for 2018 is up on the website In 2018, the only group workshops taught will be for doll making. All other workshops will be private classes — this allows my students to book me at their convenience. The information has been updated on the website: www.theolivesparrow.com Please note that there are different pulldown menus for doll making, wet felting, needle felting and a brief overview on classes. Dates for private workshops are available from March 1. 2018 onwards. There is also the possibility that I will be moving the studio/shop this year, as our building will be re-developed into condominiums — once I receive notice from the owner of the building, there will still be a 6 month time period. In general my students come to my studio/shop for the workshops, however, for private workshops, I am also able to come to locations within the GTA. Should you like to organize a group of your friends to take a workshop, I’d be happy to provide a quote. If you have any questions, please contact me via e-mail, text or phone 416.504.3665
